For three decades western companies have been updating their action plans so as to eliminate quality rejects and reach “Zero incidents”.
Without disparaging the methodologies used, which are often good, results, even in progress, are very rarely those expected, and often lower than expectations in western societies.
In parallel, the “Quality epidemic” caught by a large number of Japanese industries since the 70s means that they have been able to invade the west with consumer products such as cameras, motorbikes, quartz watches, etc…Whole sectors of our economies still continue to suffer the costs.
This is an “observational system” which fully integrates operational staff and support services in the implementation of quality obtention methodologies, such as for example problem solving, the use of the 7 quality tools and the 7 new quality tools, self inspection, self-quality, statistical mastery of procedures, the setting up of poka-yoke and working standards to mention just a few.
But our approach is also, the way we apply these techniques, integrating, according to the Asian spirit, the concept of desirability opposed to the western spirit based on the concept of acceptability.
